TEAGUE DEVITT’s practice includes the handling of personal injury and health care negligence matters, appellate practice, estate planning, probate, probate litigation, and general civil litigation.
Teague is admitted to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
A 1998 graduate with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Teague obtained his law degree, magna cum laude, from UW-Madison in 2002. Because of his academic accomplishments in law school, Teague was granted entry into the Wisconsin chapter of the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Teague has argued before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, spoken on a number of civil litigation topics, served as a judge for numerous law school Moot Court competitions, and authored an article for Wisconsin Lawyer magazine entitled, “It’s What Mom Wanted: P.O.D.s May Thwart Testators’ Intent.” (Wis. Lawyer Mar. 2013). Teague has also been privileged to act as local counsel for several out-of-state law firms from the Chicago area and elsewhere.
In his spare time, Teague enjoys backpacking with his wife, Carrie, and their son. He coaches his son’s East Madison Little League team and enjoys tennis, running, gardening, and cooking. He wishes he had more time to spend reading in his backyard hammock.
